This item takes the place of the previously-stocked #100-44 ("Peaches & Cream" type);
this is a "ring-spun" cotton which is stronger and softer than the previous yarn; the diameter of the new yarn is slightly larger (630 ypp instead of 788 ypp); and is offered on smaller cone sizes.... about 3.5 pounds instead of 6-7 pounds.

*ELS=Extra Long Staple

Note:  This is a beautiful yarn that has great drape and is very, very strong (we could not break it with our bare hands).  Because it is an "extra long staple" product and has been spun with a "tight twist," the absorption quality is diminished...thereby not a great choice for towels in our opinion.  This yarn has a natural sheen that resembles "mercerized" or "perle" cotton and would make beautiful table linens, runners, shawls, scarves, etc....anything that needs to drape.

These "guest" towels were woven with 8/2 Natural Cotton (OE) in plain weave--color used for overshot pattern.


 		 Don't you just love the natural tracking that appears
after washing!



 		 This towel was woven in 8/2 "Ring-Spun" Natural Cotton, sett at 16 epi in a 2/2 Twill variation.  While the "Open-End" Natural Cotton (to left) has great "tracking," this yarn is by far softer and has much more drape!
