Shipping & Handling Charges
SHIPPING METHODS: UPS and the US POSTAL SERVICE (USPS)
*UNLESS YOU REQUEST A "RUSH ORDER," MOST ORDERS WILL BE SHIPPED ON TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS ONLY.
To save our customers the most in shipping fees, we use Pirate Ship for most of our shipments (UPS & USPS).
Process: After we weigh each cone of yarn for a "net weight" (the yarn less the cardboard cone) and choose the appropriate size box for the shipment, we weigh the entire order for a "gross weight" (always rounding up per shipping requirements). Then we try to choose the most economical method to send your package (95% of our shipments go UPS ground). Some packages will benefit from the USPS "Flat Rate" box rate.
There is a "Handling Fee" added to each order per "gross" weight:
- Up to 50 lbs. = $5.00
- 51 to 100 lbs. = $8.00
- 101 lbs. to 150 lbs. = $12.00
- Each additional 50 lbs. = $2.00
If you need a shipping estimate BEFORE ordering, please call the Store during regular hours or send us an email and we'll give you an "approximate" shipping amount.
